What it is: The FDA's structured product labeling database.
Used for: Powering the drug search - fetching what a drug treats, its warnings, dosage instructions, and brand names.
Where in app: Drug Detail page, triggered when user searches.
What it is: Reports submitted to the FDA by patients and healthcare providers about side effects they experienced.
Used for: Displaying the most frequently reported side effects and contributing to the Risk and Awareness score.
Where in app: Drug Detail page, loaded alongside label data.
What it is: FDA recall and enforcement action records including recall class, reason, lot numbers, and dates.
Used for: Two things - showing recent recalls on the home page feed, and checking if a specific drug has active recalls on the Drug Detail page.
Where in app: Home page (recent recalls section) and Drug Detail page (recall status card).
